About Us
My name is Narjis, the owner of Narjis Pottery Studio
I was born in 1995 in Ibillin Village to a family of 10.
Although I wasn’t drawn to art as a child and actually studied Hearing and loss Education in Tel Aviv university, it took me 23 years to find my true passion, which is pottery!
The first time my hands touched the clay felt ethereal and ever since I couldn’t look back!
I started taking pottery lessons from different teachers from the country, and some of the most renowned pottery teachers out there, namely Hector Mavridis in Greece and Tortus in London! I also took it upon myself to practice on my own through watching videos and reading pottery books.
After some years of doing this solely and mastering everything involved with clay, I quit my job as a Hearing specialist and decided to open my own pottery studio in 2019.
I started my small business by selling my art to people around me. In 2023, my work got more attention and I opened a bigger where I started passing pottery workshops. The studio has a huge storehouse and a small and cozy store to sell my beloved pieces!

GALLERY PIECES
We use a stoneware clay.
All the pieces featured on this website took 3-5 weeks of handmade work, including building, trimming, naturally drying the pieces, then bisque firing (in temperatures of 950 degrees Celsius) and last dipped or painted with glaze and put into a second firing, known as a glaze firing (in temperatures of between 1200-1220 degrees Celsius).
On this website, you can enjoy my handmade pieces and you can purchase them online! Alternatively, feel free to visit my cozy studio in Ibillin village.
Additionally, we take special orders where we make your own design. This process takes up to 4-6 weeks (depending on the project and the design) in which you decide on the sizes, the shapes, and colors.
